Andrew Smith, Kingston Ulster Co.
From State Prison at Sing Sing convicted of a Rape sentenced for 5 years. Smith called saying he was just discharged and was innocent of the crime. Found employment for him at Kingston – gave him $1 to pay his passage there
1 mo 25th, He called said he had got an advance from his employer with which he redeemed his clothes from pawn – was going immediately to return to his employer and promised soon to return the dollar loaned him.

Francis H Jones was convicted in the City of New York of Grand Larceny and sentenced for three years – served his time out – he is about 28 years old and now resides with Francis Van Ness no. 19 Laurens Street – was discharged just two weeks ago – lent him one dollar to pay for his board
1 mo 30th Francis H Jones called again this day – lent him one dollar in addition to the above.

No. 3 Philip McCready of the city of New York aged thirty two years was convicted of Grand Larceny in this city and on the 13th of 3 mo: 1843 was sentenced for two years. In consequence of good behavior he was pardoned and released from Sing Sing the 30th of last month. He resides at No 99 Norfolk St – has a wife and five children. He states that he
