Eliza Robbins contributed one dollar to the funds of the Prison association

D W Stewart No 104 Beekman St – follows the business of Pickling [etc] – was convicted of Perjury in this city and was sentenced to Sing Sing for two years – served his time out and was discharged near three months ago. was born in Scotland – wants ten dollars to pay his rent – lent him that amount which he promises to return in two weeks. 

5th

John Sweeny – born in Ireland – has been in this country twenty years – was discharged yesterday from Blackwells Island, where he has been four month charged with being a common drunkard – he is strongly recommended by NH Gale Asst Keeper –

6th

Employment has been obtained for Francis Hennocque, see his history on page 7, with Jared W Bell printer at the corner of Nassau and Ann Streets. 

Employment has been procured for George Johnson with Otis R Potter in the cutlery business

7th

A few lines this day received from DL Seymour dated “Peekskill Feby 28th 1845” which says, “One of our Shoemakers has applied to me for two workmen from the Prison. One to be a good fine workman and the other for common work.”

Sent 50 copies of the “First Report” to the Penitentiary at Auburn.

Eliza Robbins has left at this office two coats and two pair of pantaloons – cast off clothes.
