G B Maigne
On July 29, 1847, Hopper wrote that he paid G B Maigne, a prominent printer in New York until 1847, for printing circular. G B Maigne worked as a printer in New York, winning a card printing contest sponsored by the New York Mechanics Institute in 1846. In the latter years of 1847, he moved to Chicago to become a member of the Inland Printer Company where he worked until his death.[1]
